Protesters in Bristol, United Kingdom pull down a statue and throw it into the habour.

Protesters in Bristol, UK have pulled down the state of Edward Colson who was a slave trader.

The Black Lives Matter protesters used ropes to pull down the 17th century statue which had already received over 11,000 signature to have it removed, and dragged it along before throwing it into the Floating Harbour, Bristol.

This was met with cheers by a huge crowd of people.

The statue of Edward Colson was a wealthy man, however his money was earned from slavery.

It was a very powerful message by the Black Lives Matter protesters.
